Biography

Charles E. Gunn (July 31, 1883 – December 6, 1918) was an American silent film actor with the Vitagraph Company of America.

Gunn was born in Wisconsin but was educated in San Francisco after his family moved to California.After debuting in a bit part in a play in San Francisco, Gunn acted on stage with the Harry Davis, Morosco, and Alcazar stock theater troupes, and was the leading man for theatrical companies in Cincinnati, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh. He also toured in productions of St. Elmo and The Conspiracy.On December 6, 1918, Gunn died in Los Angeles in the Spanish flu pandemic.
