Biography
Yusef Salaam (born 1974) is an American politician, motivational speaker, and activist, who is the member-elect in New York City's 9th City Council district. A member of the Democratic Party, Salaam was one of the Central Park Five who were falsely accused and convicted of raping a woman in Central Park in 1989.
