Plot.

During the Indochina War, Lieutenant Perrin and his men, French soldiers, hold a remote post. They lived in harmony with the local population. Over time, they have managed to forge a peaceful relationship with the villagers. The French have built a school and a dispensary. But all their efforts are suddenly wiped out when Viet Minh resistance fighters storm their post.

Shock Patrol (French: Patrouille de choc, Vietnamese: Hai cô gái Việt) is a 1957 French war film set during the First Indochina War that was written and directed by Claude Ogrel under the name Claude Bernard-Aubert Ogrel was a war correspondent in French Indochina from 1949 to 1954 and this was his film debut. The film was the first French film about the First Indochina War. The original title Patrol Without Hope (Patrouille sans espoir) was changed along with the original pessimistic ending.
