Kanthaswamy is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by Susi Ganesan starring Vikram as the titular character, with Prabhu, Shriya Saran, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukesh Tiwari, Krishna (in his only Tamil film) and Vadivelu appearing in supporting roles. The film was dubbed and partially reshot in Telugu as Mallanna with Brahmanandam replacing Vadivelu. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Kanthaswamy was released on 21 August 2009 and became a blockbuster at the box office. It was remade in Bangladesh as Most Welcome, starring Ananta Jalil and Barsha.
