The Amputee is an American short film directed by David Lynch in 1974.During the period when Lynch was working on Eraserhead, Fred Elmes, who had helped Lynch in his first film, had to test audio-visual material.Lynch took this opportunity to make a short film with him and Catherine E. Coulson (the woman at the stake of Twin Peaks).
