Plot.
On an island near Palermo, Don Pietro is the chieftain who lives at the expense of others. One day he meets a woman who breaks and tears, and marries her. Carla was engaged to the fisherman Rosario, who is at the head of the rebellion against Don Pietro. The outcome will be tragic.
