İsmail Deniz (* 1979 in Dinslaken) is a theatre and film actor. His acting studies were completed by the son of Turkish parents from 2002 to 2006 at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. During his studies and between the theatre engagements, Ismail Deniz worked in numerous film and television productions, such as "Kammerflimmern", "Unber Versichte", "Ironman - Vom Junkie zum Spitzensporter", "Armee der Stille" and "Homies", after which he was engaged at the Vienna Volkstheater, where he played under the direction of Nuran David Çalış in "Die Räuber" and "Macbeth". Further projects followed, among others, at the Munich Chamber Games, at the Schauspielhaus Essen, Theater Bonn, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Theater Koblenz. In Berlin, Ismail Deniz played at the Hebbel-Theater and at the newly founded Ballhaus Naunynstraße. Ismail Deniz worked as an actor in theatres and cinema productions in Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey and South Korea. At the Athens Festival, Ismail Deniz participated in the production "Der tethered Prometheus". Furthermore, his professional career is characterized by engagements in international cinema productions such as "Prisoners of War". His first directing work was Ismail Deniz at the Landesbühne Dinslaken with "Warten dass dass Leben einführt" (Waiting for life begins). The production was invited by the Goethe-Institut to Turkey. At the Residenztheater Munich, Ismail Deniz is to be seen in the production "Die 40 Tage des Musa Dagh" (The 40 Days of the Musa Dagh). At the Nibelungenfestspiele Worms he took over the role of Siegfrieds in 2016 Ismail Deniz plays at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in Kuffar.
