Plot.
In the early seventies in Rio de Janeiro, detective Mariel Moryscötte de Mattos belonged to a special police force called "The Golden Men". This powerful group of the elite of the police was created with the intention of eliminate crime from Rio de Janeiro, and they had privileges above law to expedite their action against the outlaws. However, absolute power in wrong hands corrupts, and this group formed the "Death Squad", executing criminals without the conventional trial from the justice.

"I killed Lúcio Flávio..." is a 1979 Brazilian police and biographical film directed by Antônio Calmon. The script is based on facts of the police chronicle and the life of Mariel Mariscot (named Mariel Moryscötte de Mattos in the initial signs while the character appears as Mariel Maryscôtt), noted for being one of the leaders of the Death Squadron in Rio de Janeiro in the 1970s. The film is taken as a response to Lúcio Flávio, the Passenger of Agonia, a great popular success of 1977, and the character Lúcio Flávio, despite being considered by Mariel (the character of Jece Valadão who is also the producer) as his arch-enemy, here is only a supporter.
