Plot.
1877, the tribe of the Nez Percés Indians are driven into the reservation by a white cavalry force. So that they can not escape, their horses are requisitioned. Sub-chief "White Feather" has no choice but to make a scout with the cavalry and retrieve the stolen horses through his life.

The film The Scout was directed by Konrad Petzold and was produced by the DEFA-Studio for Feature Films. Gojko Miti is the main actor in the last part of the Western series. The film with 1,200 horses took three months to make. The opening of the "Kino summer" took place on 27 May 1983 at the Dresden Filmtheater.
