Prisoner was directed by Ward Wing. It's the Spanish version of George W. In the early years of sound cinema, it was common for foreign language versions of the films to be produced directly in Hollywood with a different technical and artistic cast but using the same sets and costumes. The original screenplay was translated and adapted by the author. Prisoner was distributed in the US by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
