Sherlock Holmes and the Sign of Four is a 1983 animated film directed by Alex Nicholas, taken from the novel The Sign of the Four by Arthur Conan Doyle.It is the first of four animated films (all unpublished in Italy) where actor Peter O'Toole lends the voice to the character of Sherlock Holmes.The other three films, released always in 1983, are: Sherlock Holmes and the Valley of Fear, Sherlock Holmes and a Study in Scarlet and Sherlock Holmes and the Baskerville Curse.
