Biography
Roy Theodore Hawkins was an American blues singer, pianist, and songwriter. Several of his songs, most notably "The Thrill Is Gone" and his first hit "Why Do Things Happen to Me", were covered by later artists, including Ray Charles, B.B. King, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Willie Nelson.
