Sinopsis.

El 30 de mayo de 1889, la represa South Fork, que mantenía un lago de placer para los ricos industriales de Pittsburgh y sus familias, fracasó debido a las lluvias muy fuertes y el mal mantenimiento por parte de los propietarios de la represa. La represa ráfaga envió un muro de agua y escombros, de 40 pies de altura y media milla de ancho, 14 millas aguas abajo a la agitada ciudad industrial de Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Más de 2000 personas perdieron la vida en el desastre. Este documental cuenta la historia, y nos cuenta que el desastre fue fácilmente evitable.
