Bottle Rocket is a 13-minute black-and-white American short film directed by Wes Anderson, released in 1993 at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is a police comedy about the adventures of three young unworked Texans who commit a robbery but do not have the scale of professional criminals. It is the first film directed by Wes Anderson, without real film formation. It is also the first role of the two brothers Owen and Luke Wilson.The film is appreciated by the spectators and is well received by the film professionals at the Sundance Film Festival. It is at the base of the homonymous feature film released in 1996, featuring most of the short film scenes as well as the three main characters embodied by the same actors.
