The plot addresses the union of two different worlds, symbolized by the novel of the urban and workaholic Tony (Guilherme Fontes) with the adolescent Cristal (Sandy), a girl created in an alternative community of the interior of Goiás. The first phase of the novel takes place in the early 1980s, showing the friends yuppies Tony and Paulo Roberto, the Bob (Marcos Winter), as interns of a broker, around the top and bottom of the Stock Exchange. Tired of the stressed life that takes in Rio de Janeiro, Bob abandons everything and travels to the United States, where he meets Catherine (Maitê Proença) in an alternative community of California. The couple returns to Brazil and, with the help of friend Purunam (Nelson Xavier), founded the Arco da Alliance community in the lands of the Jagatah Farm, where he meets Catherine (Maitê Proença) in Sanskrit, in the interior of Goiás, adopting the names of Hanuman and Kalinda. Kalinda gives birth to the Crystal's fate of the child, and the map of the child.
