Plot.
Friederike not only looks like a boy, she behaves like that. She rides, fights, curses and drinks. One day she even wins a hunting race against a cavalry officer. When her guardian sends her on a girl's boarding school, it seems to be over with her burschic life. But Friederike escapes from the strict world of boarding school and joins as a man dressed up in a sham army There she meets her opponent, who falls in love with her when he watches her in women's clothes and sees through her secret.

Fritz and Friederike (German: Fritz und Friederike) is a 1952 West German comedy film directed by Géza von Bolváry and starring Liselotte Pulver, Albert Lieven, and Margarete Haagen. It was made at the Wiesbaden Studios in Hesse. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Heinrich Beisenherz and Alfred Bütow.
