It is the follow-up of the documentaries The world of horror by Dario Argento (1985) by Michele Soavi and The world of Dario Argento 2: Master of Horror (1997) always directed by Luigi Cozzi.At its release it was first distributed in vhs by Profondo Rosso Edizioni and then inserted as an extra in the Japanese laser disc of the film Phenomena and in the DVD of the German edition of the film Profondo Rosso distributed by the label Dragon.
