Mildred & The Dying Parlor is a 2016 American comic short directed by Alexander H. Gayner and starred by Zosia Mamet, Jane Krakowski, Steve Buscemi and Evan Jonigkeit. The script, written by Ilan Ulmer, is based on Andrea Heimer's Red Story. Mamet plays Mildred, a young woman who runs a "death lounge" in her parents' home, a business that is attended by elderly people with terminal illnesses and lives with the family during her last days of life.The short was filmed for three days in April 2015 and was the first project produced by Blood Orange Pictures. It premiered on April 15, 2016 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
