Team Hot Wheels: The Origin of Awesome! (in Brazil: Team Hot Wheels: Sending Well) is a 2014 animation film produced by Mattel in partnership with Mercury Filmworks (responsible for drawings such as Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and Galaxy Wander), based on the Hot Wheels car franchise and distributed on DVD.In the same year a excerpt of the film was released on the internet and also broadcast on the Cartoon Network and SBT channels (Animated Saturday).Unlike Hot Wheels' previous films and animations, this film is focused on a comedy of surreal action with new characters. It is the first Hot Wheels film since the cancellation of Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 in 2012.The second film of the series was released in 2015 entitled Team Hot Wheels: The Skills to Thrill (Team Hot Wheels: Acelelar Detonar).
