Plot.
Martin Hinterkirchner, who is dissatisfied with his position, sends his secretly composed hits to a manager. One of them would be ideal for the famous singer Linda Borg, but their manager refuses. Just stupidly, Martin now blames Linda and finds no good words about her - in contrast to his grandfather Leopold, who got to know Linda at a dog show. When Martin jumps in as a singer at a hit competition for his untalented friend Peter and thinks he has failed mistakenly, he goes back to his Tyrolean home village Himmelberg. Peter, on the other hand, accepts a contract, although he cannot sing the necessary duet with Linda Borg and is looking for excuses Linda goes to Tyrol in disapproval because she has received love letters from there. She has no idea that Martin's grandfather Leopold is the secret sender who wants to get her to sing Martin's Schlager.
