Plot.
The years of the tsar’s adolescence and youth were permeated with deadly danger coming from some of the Boyars, the rebellious Streltsy and Tsarevna Sophia who aspired for power. The Youth of Peter the Great (Russian: Юность Петра, romanized: Yunost Petra) is a first part of a two-part film, which was based on a novel Peter I, written by Aleksey Tolstoy.
