The promise – in English: Broken Promises – is a series of Colombian television produced by CMO Productions for Caracol Television in 2013. This one starring Julieth Restrepo, Nicole Santamaría and Aislinn Derbez with Luis Roberto Guzmán, Zharick León, and Manuel Navarro as antagonists, and the stellar performance of Jesús Ochoa.The production tells the story of two Colombians and a Mexican woman who, through deceit and false promises, fall into the possession of an international network of human trafficking.In the series, it shows how the protagonists arrive to Spain to engage in forced prostitution and how their relatives and loved ones do everything possible to get their whereabouts and rescue. Initially, the series was premiered in international markets in 2012. In Colombia its premiere took place on March 4, 2013, through Caracol Television.
