Peter (Otto Brandenburg) is a slightly shabby existence who has sublet his apartment for use in a massage clinic. He himself has solved partout cards for DSB and spends his time on train journeys. Here he has the opportunity to meet the train stewardess Eva (Ann-Mari Max Hansen), whom he has known and been in love with since they were children. Unfortunately, Eva is married to his blunt brother (Benny Hansen), who treats her increasingly brutally and has always been the evil spirit in Peter's life.
