Plot.

Kathmandu, Nepal, early 1990s. Laia, a young teacher from Catalonia, Spain, works at a local school in the slums of the city where poverty reigns. The film received four Gaudí Awards nominations (Verónica Echegui won for best lead actress) and two Goya Awards nominations. It is based on the book Una maestra en Katmandú by Victòria Subirana.
