Plot.
Mother of a little boy, Jackie, Vera Latour asks her husband, Pierre, a famous aviator, not to engage in acrobats where he would risk death for pleasure. Pierre consents to it reluctantly and it is his friend Bob Deschamps who wins a trophy during a meeting. However, Vera, who never wanted to know the baptism of the air with her husband, lets himself be taken by plane by Bob. Pierre learns it, he immediately leaves with his faithful mechanic Robert Nourry, for a long-term raid over the Atlantic. After hours of anxiety, Vera learns that her husband managed to reach New York When she returns, she welcomes him as a winner.

Gloria is a 1931 French-German drama film directed by Hans Behrendt and Yvan Noé and starring Brigitte Helm, André Luguet and Jean Gabin. A co-production between France and Germany, a separate German version Gloria was also made. Such multiple-language versions were common during the early years of sound before dubbing became more widespread.
