The Confirmation is a 2017 German television film by Stefan Krohmer. Tim Litwinschuh plays Ben Winkler, the son of Johanna Winkler (Ulrike C. Tscharre), whom she atheistically raised together with her partner Felix (Ben Braun), who, however, feels committed to Christianity. Georgette Dee, Christina Große, Reiner Schöne, Tijan Fischer-Islas, Toto Knoblauch and as guest Kai Wiesinger played in the first film: "In an entertaining way, director Stefan Krohmer tells an unusual coming-of-age story in ‘Die Konfirmation' – namely that of the parents: Unlike peers who want to test their boundaries, the young boy played by Tim Litwinschuh seeks to hold in faith. His growing up and letting the mother's loss connect the screenplay of the award-winning author Beate Langmaack in an emotional way.
