In a radio station in Espírito Santo, Lora Berg commands the "Namoro no Ar", which promotes love encounters and interviews people, who want to meet their partner. In an interview, Lora meets Carlos Henrique, a 22-year-old man, who says to find someone and initially Lora does not give him much attention, but he reappears in the program and she and Carlos come to know each other in a short time she is fully involved by him, putting him to live in his house and doing everything for him, but gradually she feels, that she is exploited and tries for an end in the novel, but this leaves her so bitter, that she stays at home drinking, without being able to forget Carlos.
