The cast also includes Sadie Scott, Phyllis Ellis and Francesca Dill.
The film had its world premiere in the Short Cuts program at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Canadian Short Film. Continuing its festival run, Are You Scared To Be Yourself Because You Think That You Might Fail? will make its international premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
The film was named to TIFF's annual Canada's Top Ten list for 2024.
