Fort (international title "Fortress") is a 2011 German feature film directed by Kirsi Marie Liimatainen, starring Elisa Essig and Peter Lohmeyer as well as Karoline Herfurth and Ursina Lardi. The premiere took place in Canada at the Montréal World Film Festival on 24 August 2011. German cinema premiere was only 15 months later on 29 August 2011. November 2012. On German television, the film was first broadcast on ZDF on 5 August 2014.The film shows the life of thirteen-year-old Johanna, who tries to maintain the facade of a healing family despite her violent father.
