The black tulip (known as Black Tulip in English) is a 1988 animated film directed by Franco Cristofani. The plot was written by Paul Leadon after an adaptation by Alex Nicholas according to the work of French writer Alexandre Dumas, El tulipán negro, published in 1850. The film has a duration of about 49 minutes, employs the voices of Brian Anderson, Phillip Hinton and Paul Johnstone among others, as well as music by the composer Simon Walker. The black tulip is a production by Roz Phillips for the Australian studio Burbank Films Australia and was premiered on television.
