Magic City () is a Greek neorealist film directed by Níkos Kúnduros and released in 1954.The filming began in 1952.Selected for the Venice Exhibition, censorship did not allow it to officially represent Greece.The film is a testimony to the intense urban transformations of Athens in the early 1950s: destruction of old buildings and with them of entire neighborhoods; social transformations also: old houses are mortgaged to buy a car symbol of social ascension.
