Plot.
Maxime de Saint Hubert goes to the conquest of Nicole de Beaulieu, a lovely young widow, courted for years by a Mr Charmes, in the heart of the languishing. Nicole will kidnap Maxime to hope to have him attend the ceremony of their marriage, which has been waiting for four years. But Maxime escapes! Then, Nicole, in the way of Volpone, makes believe that she is about to die to bring Maxime to marriage. His friend Charmes will have to wait again for a union that promises not to be sad!.
