Plot.
The film explores the story of a young Jewess who, in the years of National Socialism, is hidden by her girlfriend, whose papers are treated in a hospital and died there. Thus, her girlfriend loses her official identity. For the first time, the question of the behaviour of friends, neighbors, housekeepers and strangers during the persecution of the Viennese Jewish population is raised. "The other life is an exciting game with identity, but altogether an amazing proof of the civilian courage Alexander Lernet-Holenias (1897-1976), who had taken up the strictly taboo topic of Jewish persecution shortly after the war. The ambitious film studio of the theatre in Josefstadt, which did not last long, took up the material and filmed it with the actors of the house.
