Hot Pursuit is a 2015 American action comedy film produced by New Line Cinema, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and Pacific Standard and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film was directed by Anne Fletcher, from a screenplay written by David Feeney and John Quaintance, and stars Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara. The story follows a police officer assigned to protect the widow of a drug boss from corrupt cops and criminals who want her dead as they race through Texas to avoid detection.

Hot Pursuit was released on May 8, 2015. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, it was a box office success, grossing $51.4 million worldwide against a budget of $35 million.
