Plot.

Annapurnar Mandir (transl. Temple of Annapurna) was a Bengali social drama film directed by Naresh Mitra based on a same name novel of Nirupama Devi. This film was released on 6 August 1954 under the banner of Chitra Mandir and received 2nd National Film Awards in 1954. Here Uttam Kumar and Sabitri Chaterjee play the lead role as hero and heroine while Suchitra Sen played supporting role. This film had no music. This was the first film of Uttam Kumar to win a National Award.
