"The Cursed Eye of the Prophet" is a continuation of the story "The Eye of the Prophet", which ended with the sale of a mysterious gem and the purchase by the Bystry family of an inn near Tarnów. Unfortunately, the times in 17th-century Poland are restless, and the curse is still hanging over Hanusz and his father. Driven by adventurous nature, Hanusz Bystry travels to the Balkans to free his friend, Semen Berdyczka, captured by the Turks while searching for his father taken into a bastard.
