The Santa Clause 2 premiered in Los Angeles on November 1, 2002, and was theatrically released in the United States on November 1. The film received mixed reviews from critics and grossed $172 million worldwide on a $65 million budget. It was followed by another sequel, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, released in 2006.
