The 1999 Mexican road-movie Second century is a tribute to the cinema that began its second century of existence. This opera cousin of Bolado, who also wrote the script and served as a producer, tells of the spiritual journey of a film team through various locations of films in the Scottish countryside, the cities of New York, Belfast and London, as well as different locations of Mexico. One of the members of the team is the French actor Martin La Salle, who gave life to the legendary character of Pickpocket in the work of Robert Bresson.
