Ari Gold made a short film called Helicopter in 2000. The film deals with the effects of the helicopter crash of October 25, 1991 in Vallejo, California, in which Ari Gold's mother died at the age of 47 in addition to pilot Steve Kahn and concert organizer Bill Graham. The short film has been performed at numerous festivals worldwide and has received several awards, including the Gold medal at the Student Academy Awards 2000.
