In the Roman district of the Pigneto three boys divide a house: Matthew, a twenty-five year-old outlaw of Grosseto who is preparing the thesis for the degree in statistics; Nicola who keeps holding muscle relaxation lessons for the elderly and Sandro, compulsive gambler employed at a betting point. Their dirimettaia is Olimpia, a pretty Brazilian who works in a take away and whose Matteo is in love. The owner of their house is Dr. Carlo, the local boss who controls the gambling game, who has a son called Pistacchietto, a twenty-year-old dedicated to all kinds of drugs that in the past had a brief history with Olimpia. The only one to keep head of the local boss is Father Moreno, Friulian parish priest of the church of Sant'Elena.
