The mystery of Lovecraft - Road to L. is a documentary thriller film of 2005, directed by Federico Greco and Roberto Leggio.The film is structured as the backstage of the documentary H.P. Lovecraft - Hypothesis of a trip to Italy, 26', presented at the Venice Festival in 2004 and transmitted by Studio Universal. Alfredo Castelli has screened a comic book version of Road to L., published as an attachment to the Speciale Martin Mystère number 22, released in summer 2005. And the story of Lovecraft traveling to Italy continues to fascinate other artists: in December 2016, Jet Set Roger, a Bresciano musician, inspired also by the story imagined in the film, has published for Snowdonia a concept album, "Lovecraft in Polesine", a literary project composed of a disc and a comic, designed by Aleksandar Zograf The film that gave the start to the hypothesis of Lovecraft's event in Italy, presented at the XXV Fantafestival in Rome, obtained the Méliès d'Argento, which allowed him to be a candidate for the Méliès d'Or at the next European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation.
