Pelusa, a little girl, almost a woman, is the "factotun" of the Great Circus Solferino, where Rock, her father, also works. Pelusa is in love with Darsey, the trapecist, who does not listen to her. This loving contradiction is resolved, but then comes Pastora Montijo, Pelusa's mother, who takes her to Paris, making her a "vedette". Pelusa wants to return to her father and recover Darsey's love.
