Plot.
The Messina brothers are Yesmoke, a little tobacco company based in modern day Turin, Italy. Originally, Yesmoke was an online store for cigarettes selling its products all over the world. Every day millions of people would buy cheap packets of Marlboro, Camels and Lucky Strikes online. When sales reached over one hundred million, "Big Tobacco" started to fight the "Little Guys" and sued them for 550 Million dollars, obligating them to shut their website down.

SmoKings is a 2014 documentary film directed by Michele Fornasero.The film, produced by Indyca in co-production with Ventura Film (CH) and association with Majade Filmproduktion (DE), tells the story of the company Yesmoke (dedicated first to the online sale and then to the production of cigarettes) and the various traverses faced by the two owners, the brothers Carlo and Gianpaolo Messina.Its realization, which took four years of work, was supported by Regione Piemonte, Film Commission Torino Piemonte, Piemonte Doc Film Fund and Programa Media Unione Europea.It was the winner of the 2014 edition of the Festival of Peoples in the section Premio Cinemataliano.info.
