Cindy Lou Johnson wrote and directed the 1993 comic/romantic film Trusting Claude. Claude is having a bad day. He has been abandoned by his girlfriend, humiliated by his boss, and downloaded a sham on an innocent girl. His department ends up on fire when he burned photographs of his girlfriend. She met a French illegal immigrant who took care of a Cambodian orphan while trying to avoid the police, who wanted her for murder. Claude invited her to live with him and his strange family. Claude was the one who had a positive effect on all of them.
