The mysterious uncle Silas (also known as Screen of Spider) is an Argentine film of the drama genre filmed in black and white, directed by Carlos Schlieper on the screenplay of Jorge Jantus and León Mirlas, according to the novel Tio Sylas, by Sheridan Le Fanu, with additional dialogues by María Luz Regás that premiered on May 7, 1947 and which featured Elsa O'Connor, Elisa Christian Galvé, Francisco de Paula, Ricardo Galache, María Santos and Homero Carpena.
