Yoshio Tawahashi is a young Japanese man who works as a mailman in Tokyo. He wins a television contest that has as a prize to travel for ten days through five European capitals. On his flight to Barcelona, he is fascinated by the Spanish hostess Rita and asks for a picture. When he says goodbye, they confuse his suitcases and Yoshio will make a thousand laps through the City of Condal until he stumbles again with his beloved hostess.
