Wiki.
Sweetwater: True Rock Story (b: On the Rock Road) is a musical and biographical film based on the real story of Los Angeles' psychedelic rock band, Sweetwater, which was marked by being the first band to perform at the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969. It was produced by the VH1 channel in partnership with Paramount Pictures and distributed in Brazil by CIC Video. The screenplay was written by Victoria Wozniak and supervised by the members of the Sweetwater band themselves. The film is starred by Amy Jo Johnson who gives life to Nansi Nevins, the famous singer of the band, and sings the songs that appear in the production. The songs are re-recordings of Sweetwater's successes, such as Motherless Child. One of the classic scenes of the film is the presentation of the band at the Woodstock Festival for over 500,000 people.
