Cardinal Albino Luciani (Neri Marcor) has travelled to Fatima where he is interviewed by Sister Lucia (Imma Colomer), the last survivor of the three shepherds who saw the Virgin and listened to and kept the secrets he entrusted to them. Lucia reveals to the Cardinal that soon he will be elected Pope, but that his papacy "will be brief as the life of a seed is, since the seed must die so that the plant can grow and bear fruit".
