Suryaputra Mahavir Karna (transl. Son of the Sun, The Warrior Karna) is an unfinished Indian Tamil-language epic historical drama film written and directed by R. S. Vimal. The film is based on the character Karna from the Indian epic Mahabharata. Initially it was intended that the film would be made in Tamil and Hindi only, but subsequently RS Vimal announced that it would be made in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam too. The film originally starred Vikram and Suresh Gopi, but later underwent cast changes. The film was renamed Suryaputra Mahavir Karna.
