Velayudham is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language superhero film written and directed by Mohan Raja. It stars Vijay in title role with Hansika and Genelia while Santhanam, Saranya Mohan, Soori, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar in other prominent roles. The music was composed by Vijay Antony and cinematography by Priyan. The story was from the 2000 Telugu film Azad. This film is Genelia's last Tamil film till date.Velayudham was released on 26 October 2011, where it collected ₹60 crore and became a commercial success at the box office.
